Maintaining Vendor’s Account
First click on maintain button.











Then click on vendor in following list.

The following window will be open when we click on vendors.

The circled area is called header field in which we insert the vendor ID and the name of the vendor.













Then we have general bar in which we insert information about the vendor.

In general bar first we have contact, the person in the organization with whom we will make contact.

Then we insert the account no. of the vendor.

Then we will insert the address of the organization.



Then we have to insert the vendor type.

Then we have telephone numbers on which we will contact to the organization.


Then we will insert the e-mail address of the organization.

Then we have purchase defaults bar. In purchase defaults bar we enter the purchase rep i.e the person of the

Maintaining Customers Records
First of all open an existing company and click on maintain button.

Then click on “customers/prospects”


When we click on “customers/prospects” following window will open

The circled part of below window is called header field where we insert customer ID and customer name




Then we have general bar where we have to provide the following information:

Contact, the person in the organization with whom we will make contact.


Bill to address, the address on which we will send the bill.

Address, in this we will insert the address.


Customer type, which type of customer we are dealing with, for instance cash customer, credit customer, retail or wholesale customer etc.

Telephone, we will insert the telephone on which we will contact to the organization.

E-mail, we will insert the e-mail address to contact the organization.

Then we have Sales defaults bar.

In sales defaults first of all we have sales rep, this is the name of person who will make contact with our customers.











Then we have GL sales acct. This is the account ID we have already maintained in chart of accounts.

Maintaining chart of Accounts…
First of all we will open an existing company following window will be open 


Than click on maintain button and following option will open





Then click on chart of accounts in options









After clicking on charts of accounts, following window will open



Then write the account ID in the circled tab

After we have given the account ID, now we will write description in the circled tab


After that we will select the account type in circled tab

After this we will press ALT+S buttons on key board to save the chart of account.
After this the window will appear as this:
It means chart of account has been saved.








How to enter beginning balance….
After maintaining chart of accounts, we will click on beginning balances button that is circled.

When we click on beginning balances button, the circled window will be open

Now select the period to enter the beginning balances, after we have entered the period the following window will appear.
Now start entering the balances.





After we have entered the balances the total of both sides of trial balance will appear in circled area.
If there is any difference in the balance that will appear in the circled area.
